Job Overview

The Student Society of McGill University (SSMU) is seeking a highly skilled Service Finance Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for assisting the Vice President Finance in managing the Society's services and accounting needs.

Job Responsibilities
  • Assist the Vice President Finance in managing the Society's services and accounting needs
  • Help SSMU Services with their financial activities, including changing signing officers and organizing credit card reconciliations
  • Develop transparent budgets and make recommendations to the VP Finance and General Manager
  • Meet with students involved in SSMU Services to teach and review financial procedures
  • Ensure control over internal rules and procedures
  • Identify problems and deviations from procedures and financial activities
  • Complete various tasks assigned by the Vice President Finance and General Manager
Qualifications
  • Ability to execute directions in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various student groups
  • Knowledgeable of SSMU and McGill University policies and procedures
  • High degree of organizational skills and accuracy
  • Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
