We are HBI Canada, a leading wholesaler of Roll-Your-Own products. Our company is a large, team-oriented organization with a positive work environment. We are looking for an experienced IT Manager to lead our technology initiatives and support our growth and efficiency.


Position Overview:

As the IT Manager, you will oversee our IT department, manage technology projects, and ensure the optimal functioning of our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance productivity and security.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides Onsite Assistance: Offers first-line technical support for all staff and departments.
  • Monitors Performance: Tracks performance on hardware, systems, and applications.
  • Designs Feedback Systems: Creates efficient end-user feedback and error-reporting systems.
  • Website Updates: Performs general updates and regular maintenance of the site.
  • Supports Stakeholders: Analyzes problems, escalates issues when necessary, and provides support for stakeholder requests.
  • Troubleshoots Hardware and Software Issues: Resolves desktop and printer hardware, and software issues.
  • Installs and Configures Workstations: Sets up new workstations, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Troubleshoots LAN/WAN and Connectivity Issues: Resolves LAN/WAN and connectivity issues.
  • Develops Reference Materials: Creates training materials and provides end-user training.
  • Develops IT Strategies: Aligns IT strategies with business goals.
  • Oversees Network Security: Manages network security, data management, and system administration.
  • Manages Procurement: Oversees software and hardware procurement, installation, and maintenance.
  • Collaborates with Stakeholders: Identifies technology needs and provides effective solutions.
  • Ensures Compliance: Ensures compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitors Performance Metrics: Tracks IT performance metrics and reports on progress and challenges.
  • Stays Updated on Emerging Technologies: Keeps up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in IT management or related roles.
  • Competence: Strong competence in the Microsoft Ecosystem, computer hardware/software, networking, and server rooms.
  • Deep Understanding: Deep understanding of Windows Servers and RMM Software.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Solid problem-solving, researching, and troubleshooting skills.
  • IT Security Awareness: Strong awareness of IT security and confidentiality.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work, prioritize, and make decisions independently in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Certifications: SAP, Produmex, Network +, CCNA, and other IT industry-standard certifications would be an asset.
