TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team.

Salary:

$85,000 - $115,000 per year

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled professional to develop, document, and implement effective Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs across multiple facilities.

This includes creating systematic plans for daily management and improvement, with a focus on effective reporting and progress review methods.

The selected candidate will provide guidance and support to site management, program owners, and site personnel to ensure compliance with EHS requirements.

  • Monitor and manage hazardous materials, equipment, and areas to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Implement EHS programs and initiatives that promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Assist in emergency response programs and conduct regular surveys of laboratory and waste areas.
  • Conduct inspections, collection, storage, and disposal of bio-hazardous, chemical, and radioactive waste.
  • Perform routine ergonomic assessments and make recommendations to prevent injuries and improve worker comfort.
  • Maintain industrial hygiene equipment and perform monitoring of laboratory and support personnel.
  • Perform audits of labs, support areas, and offices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in training new hires regarding chemical, biological, and radioactive hazards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in EHS, preferably in a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
