Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join our team as a Litigation Specialist. The successful candidate will have a strong background in family law and the ability to manage a wide range of cases, from separation agreements to asset division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently manage family law files, including conducting hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials.
  • Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division.
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications.
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end.
  • Experience in general civil litigation is an asset.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in British Columbia family law practice.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills.
  • Desire to become part of a dynamic and growing law firm.
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership.
