Position: Family Lawyer

Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage family law files, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of cases.
  • Handle a wide range of family law matters, including separation agreements, spousal maintenance, and asset division, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Conduct hearings, discoveries, mediations, and trials, utilizing strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Instruct support staff and receive instructions from clients, maintaining a high level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Draft pleadings and speak to chamber applications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Negotiate at mediations and appear at trials, representing clients with confidence and expertise.
  • Manage all aspects of a file from beginning to end, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
  • Experience in general civil litigation is an asset, as it enhances our client's ability to provide comprehensive legal services.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in British Columbia family law practice, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to handle challenging work and manage files independently, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Strong judgment, work ethic, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Desire to become part of a dynamic team and contribute to the growth and success of our client.
  • Enthusiasm for growing practice and working towards partnership, with a commitment to excellence and professionalism.
  • Book of business required, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and client satisfaction.
