Key Responsibilities- Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Modify food preparation methods and menu prices to align with the restaurant budget and maintain profitability.
- Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and training, and conduct performance reviews to ensure high standards are met.
- Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and cash handling.
- Supervise staff, including front-of-house and back-of-house teams, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms to maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to ensure they are meeting expectations.
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities to drive sales growth.
- Participate in marketing plans and implementation to promote the restaurant and attract new customers.
- Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Manage events, including weddings, corporate functions, and other special events.
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to ensure seamless service delivery.
- 3-4 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
- Food Safety Certificate.
- MS Office and Point of Sale system skills.
- Valid driver's licence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
