Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team at UNIVERSAL INFRA LTD. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying current and prospective staffing requirements, preparing and posting job notices, and advising job applicants on employment requirements.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 32 to 40 hours per week with a salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year depending on experience. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will work closely with management to identify recruitment needs and develop strategies to meet them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify current and prospective staffing requirements and develop plans to address them
  • Prepare and post job notices in various media to attract top talent
  • Collect and screen applications, conducting interviews as needed
  • Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
  • Review candidate inventories and recommend candidates for hire
  • Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews and notify applicants of results
  • Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A college diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in human resources or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in a unionized environment would be an asset.
