The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at the Nine Circles Community Health Centre. This dynamic role will focus on providing clinical outreach services to vulnerable and marginalized clients diagnosed with HIV.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) to fill this critical position. As a Primary Care Nurse, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide intensive case management services to individuals living with HIV who are not linked to care or precariously linked to care. Your expertise will be invaluable in navigating complex healthcare systems and advocating for the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline primary care interventions to clients, including immediate assessments, interventions, and treatment in collaboration with the PATHS team members
  • Initiate and complete HIV clinical care plans for clients, including intake, baseline medical assessments, screening, and immunizations
  • Consult with prescribers/associated care providers, administer prescribed medications, and treat minor conditions within the scope of nursing practice
  • Liaise with community-based organizations to plan, develop, implement, and deliver care while identifying health issues, behaviors, needs, barriers, and challenges for PATHS clients

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate in Nursing from a recognized university or a combination of nursing diploma from a recognized college and clinical experience
  • Registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Manitoba
  • Minimum three years of nursing experience with one year of combined experience working in a tertiary and/or primary care setting
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate
  • Manitoba Indigenous Cultural Safety Training (MICST) or obtained within one year of employment
  • BC-CfE HIV Treatment and Management Training or obtained within three months of employment

Compensation Package

This full-time permanent position offers a competitive salary ranging from $42.162 to $51.857 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, life insurance, and pension plan.
