We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent health outcomes.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate LPN to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients. You will be responsible for providing nursing care to designated patients/residents, including administering prescribed medical treatments, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in the coordination of patient/resident care and discharge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide independent nursing services, including administration of prescribed medical treatments
  • Collaborate and interact within the healthcare team
  • Participate in the coordination of patient/resident care and discharge
  • May direct students, healthcare aides, and other support staff in the performance of patient/resident care

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing education program
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and support for the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning
  • Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient/resident or a group of patients/residents; delegate care appropriately and monitor outcomes of delegated care; and respond to a variety of simultaneous demands

Compensation and Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from $32,024 to $40,325 per year, depending on experience. In addition, you may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to $2,000 each year until 2025 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective agreement.
