Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Whistler Tacos La Cantina. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Estimate and manage food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and specialist chefs, to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
  • Collaborate with our events team to plan and execute catering services for special events and functions.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a senior kitchen management role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, including food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.
