Job Description

Job Title: Transportation Assistant

Job Summary:

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a reliable and compassionate Transportation Assistant to join our team. As a Transportation Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of our students with special needs during transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with special needs during bus loading and unloading
  • Ensure students' comfort and safety during transportation
  • Maintain accurate medical logs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Grade 10 education
  • Previous experience working with students with special needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification

Working Conditions:

This is a casual position, requiring flexibility and availability to work on call before and after school.

Compensation:

The hourly wage for this position is $20.02/hour, plus 4% in lieu of vacation pay.
