Job Summary

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Program Lead to oversee the implementation of the Health Career Access Program (HCAP) within the Mental Health & Substance Use Services (MH&SUS) sites. The successful candidate will provide expert advice and guidance to site operations, ensuring the program's objectives are met and its mandate is integrated into site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the HCAP implementation within MH&SUS sites, ensuring program objectives are met and its mandate is integrated into site operations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to site operations on the program's mandate and the integration of Mental Health & Addictions Support Workers into site operations.
  • Assist site operations in identifying and raising progress/performance issues as Mental Health & Addictions Support Workers proceed through orientation, training, and work experience.
  • Coordinate activities related to Mental Health & Addictions Support Worker onboarding at the site level, ensuring sites are aware of orientation and training requirements.
  • Manage a system to track individual Mental Health & Addictions Support Worker practicum/in-class training rotations.
  • Develop and/or recommend tools and mechanisms to measure, monitor, and evaluate progress and identify outcomes of the program within MH&SUS.
  • Provide advice and support to those with operational accountability in the processes, systems, and tools to collect information; monitor outcomes and produce regular reports on the status of various program activities for review and follow-up.
  • Provide leadership to roles/teams that may be assigned to the program within MH&SUS to support staff and students in the efforts to integrate within the sites.
  • Manage program communications and dissemination of information within MH&SUS and serve as a main point of contact for program queries and issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health Science, or other relevant clinical discipline.
  • Seven years of recent related clinical experience in a mental health & substance use environment, including five years of experience in managing and leading clinical initiatives/programs, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Professional/Technical Capabilities: Understanding of clinical operations and the role of health care disciplines within a mental health & substance use setting, working knowledge of change and project management principles, methods, and tools, ability to motivate and persuade leaders and staff at all levels to embrace and act on change management initiatives, critical thinking and analytical skills including statistical analysis and evaluation methodology, ability to operate related equipment including applicable software applications, and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
