Job Title: Shift Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Manager to join our team at Tim Hortons. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Train Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure they are meeting expectations.
  • Estimate Ingredients and Supplies: Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Address customers' complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that we provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Records: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate and timely reports to management.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for staff, ensuring that we have adequate coverage during peak periods.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service environment.
  • Support for Persons with Disabilities: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Support for Youths: Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

Language: English

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week
