Project Coordinator Specialist

This position is responsible for coordinating and organizing multiple assigned smaller projects and assisting the Project Managers when required. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work and function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review project quotes compared to customer purchase orders.
  • Set up and maintain projects in the ERP system, accurately creating job structures, BOMs, and labor routers.
  • Provide drafting with project-specific information for drawing creation.
  • Review drawings for necessary fabrication details and ensure document control is provided with all applicable drawings necessary for work instruction creation.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and sales regarding project details as necessary, including project updates, drawing approvals, change orders, and final delivery.
  • Accurately document, re-schedule, re-cost, and accept change orders, and process changes on work orders and drawings.
  • Arrange third-party services if necessary.
  • Ask great questions to the NWP team to learn further skills for further career advancement.

Qualifications

  • Possess excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, and experience in an ERP system an asset
  • Ability to read fabrication drawings, including P&IDs, an asset
  • Familiar with ASME codes an asset
  • Any of the following applicable technical diplomas: Engineer Design & Drafting Technologist, Mechanical Engineering Technologist, Civil Engineer Technologist, and/or one or more years experience as a project coordinator in a metal fabrication setting
