Marble Setter

We are seeking a skilled Marble Setter to join our team at AtwoZ Renos Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and setting marble and other stone surfaces in various locations. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and preferences, and you will use your expertise to deliver high-quality results that exceed their expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered with tile or stone
- Mix, apply and spread adhesives using hand trowels
- Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- Align and straighten tiles to ensure a smooth and even finish
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural and floor designs
- Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets
- Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite
- Estimate costs and materials for tile and stone installations
- Mix, lay and polish terra surfaces
- Install tile strips
- 1 to 2 years of experience in tile setting or a related field
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment with frequent bending, crouching and kneeling
- Attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colours
- Hand-eye co-ordination and ability to work with hand and power cutting tools
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
- Work in a variety of locations, including construction sites and client homes
- Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines
- Exposure to dust, odors and other environmental hazards
- Accurate and reliable with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable and able to meet deadlines
- Hardworking and willing to learn and take on new challenges
