About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Safety Manager to join our team at EllisDon Corporation.

Job Description

This is a key leadership position that requires strong experience in environmental health and safety, with a focus on sustainability. As a Sustainability and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of health and safety plans, managing training and development strategies, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety plans to mitigate risks and prevent accidents
  • Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention
  • Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards and identify areas for improvement
  • Manage training and development strategies to enhance employee knowledge and skills
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental health and safety, preferably in a construction or industrial setting
  • A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
