The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining operations, with comprehensive knowledge of mine planning and operational practices throughout the mining value chain.


The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough assessments of mining operations, identifying opportunities for transformation, and assisting in implementing these programs.


Key responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting site visits to understand current practices, engage with stakeholders, and gather information to find optimal solutions
  • Collaborating with expert consultants from across AMC, leveraging their knowledge to drive business improvement and transformation
  • Developing and implementing comprehensive operational excellence services for clients, utilizing AMC's unique intellectual property
  • Providing strategic workshops, benchmarking data, and executive messages to support clients' optimization efforts
  • Designing operational readiness studies and implementation plans to ensure sustainable transformation

The ideal candidate will have:



  • At least 15+ years of experience in the mining industry, ideally combined with 5+ years working with a leading management consulting firm
  • A proven track record of generating and maintaining a consistent client base
  • Affiliation with a professionally recognized industry organization
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel, facilitation, and presentation building

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:



  • Experience in both open pit and underground hard rock mining operations
  • Comprehensive understanding of a wide range of mine planning and operational practices
  • Extensive practical experience with various business improvement methodologies
  • Business acumen combined with strong technical, leadership, project management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and report writing abilities
  • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Excel and facilitation

AMC offers a competitive salary range of C$170,000 to C$190,000 per year, depending on individual factors.
