Inventory Management Specialist

Job Description:
This position plays a vital role in the distribution and transportation of publicly-funded vaccines and pharmaceutical products. As an Inventory Management Specialist - Public Health, you will work closely with Registered Pharmacy Technicians and Public Health Pharmacists to ensure safe and accurate distribution.
Main Responsibilities:
- You will prepare pre-conditioned vaccine transport coolers and packs vaccines for delivery under specific guidelines.
- Supports vaccine distribution by picking publicly-funded vaccines from storage units and validating relevant details.
- Participates in vaccine cycle counting, verifies thermometers, documents temperatures, and updates records as required.
- Delivers vaccines and other pharmaceutical products to various locations as needed.
- Picks-up vaccine orders and returns reusable items to their designated locations.
- Provides operational support to staff at sub-offices for the distribution of publicly-funded pharmaceutical products.
- Serves as the primary operator of refrigerated vehicles to ensure safe storage and transportation of vaccines during business continuity plan activations or extended power outages.
- Performs inventory cycle count and replenishment, receives shipments, submits invoices for review, and completes other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of vaccine storage and handling protocols, standards, and guidelines is essential.
- Excellent communication skills are necessary to provide high-quality customer service.
- The ability to work outside regular business hours is required.
- A valid Ontario Class G driver's license with no serious offenses is mandatory.
Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per annum. Note: The salary range is estimated based on industry standards and job requirements. It may vary depending on factors such as location and level of experience.
