Job Summary:

The Ottawa Catholic School Board is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team. As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to students, families, and educators to support academic and social-emotional development.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based programs and interventions to promote student learning and well-being.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and other support plans.
  • Provide consultation and support to educators on student learning and achievement, including Response to Intervention (RTI) and Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS).
  • Develop and implement professional learning sessions for educators, parents, and other Board personnel.
  • Participate in Department and Board Committees to support the development of policies and programs.
  • Align the delivery of psychological services with Board strategic commitments and strategies.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Doctoral degree in School/Educational and/or Clinical Psychology or Masters degree in School/Educational and/or Counseling Psychology.
  • Registered or eligible for registration by the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
  • Experience with a variety of current standardized assessment measures (WISC-V, WIAT-III, etc.).
  • Proficiency with technology for assessment, intervention, and documentation purposes (e.g., Q-Interactive, Google Suite, Laserfiche, etc.).
  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking/presentation skills.
  • Excellent judgment and analytical ability.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
