Job Title: Service Technician

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at Superior Propane. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing propane and natural gas equipment for residential and commercial customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge to install and service complex propane and natural gas equipment.
  • Safe operation of crane trucks and other service vehicles to perform tank installations, relocations, and pickups.
  • Maintain and stock service trucks with inventory, ensuring all necessary parts, materials, and supplies are available to perform daily work orders and meet customer requests.
  • Apply lockout procedures in unsafe customer installations.
  • Accurately prepare and submit daily service work orders and DTRs utilizing OBTC technology.
  • Conduct and maintain the highest standard of safety in all activities and operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and relevant Service Technician III.
  • Collaborate with the Service Coordinator for routing and scheduling information, and notify them of any service, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by promoting the company and its products and services positively and maintaining good customer relations.
Requirements:
  • A Class A gas technician license.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Propane industry experience is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Excellent knowledge of B149 code.
  • Valid Class 3 driver's license and incident-free driver's abstract.
