About JC's Hot Bagels

We are a dynamic and growing bagel shop looking for a skilled Food Counter Attendant to join our team. As a Food Counter Attendant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient food service experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, take orders, and provide a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as bagels, sandwiches, and snacks.
  • Food Handling: Keep records of food quantities used, package take-out food, and portion and wrap foods for customers.
  • Team Support: Support newcomers and refugees by providing diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Indigenous Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training to all employees.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs).
  • Work Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
