Job Title: HVAC Sales Representative

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading HVAC manufacturer and distributor in North America to find a highly skilled HVAC Sales Representative to join their team in Victoria.

About the Position

The HVAC Sales Representative will be responsible for managing projects, negotiating and landing work, and providing feedback to the estimating team on bids and pricing. This role will also involve providing design assistance to engineers, reviewing purchase orders and bid documents to optimize profitability, and creating PBY files for the support team to issue submittals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiate and land work, with a strong understanding of the job market.
  • Provide feedback to the estimating team on bids and pricing, including workload forecasting.
  • Provide design assistance to engineers on product selection and layout projects.
  • Review all purchase orders and bid documents to optimize profitability, and request IFC review.
  • Create PBY files for the support team to issue submittals.
  • Create submittals in the absence of the project manager or support team.
  • Assist in technical submittals for the support team.
  • Process orders from the customer list in the absence of the support team after receipt of approved submittals.
  • Manage and process change orders and site instructions, including pricing.
  • Resolve discrepancies on orders with customers or site contacts for the support team.
  • Track orders and deliveries, and provide ETA to customers.
  • Notify customers when orders arrive, and arrange delivery if required.
  • Close out projects once complete, with full invoicing and maintenance documentation submitted.
  • Provide quotes for jobs not listed on the bid boards, including email requests.
  • Enter quotes with proper association to product codes, as illustrated in the branch's handbook.
  • Train staff in all phases of the sales process to ensure continuation of expected service levels.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, with a customer-first approach to business.
  • Consistently improve the quality of service to meet client expectations and minimize costs and maximize the company's competitive position.
  • Ensure adequate service levels, and conduct a review study to determine cause, effect, and corrective actions required to hold team members accountable.
  • Self-educate, and attend manufacturer's factory and training visits, to ensure constant updates on the latest product developments and software tools.
  • Build sustainable customer relationships and trust with customers' accounts through open communication.
  • Represent the company at site meetings as required.
  • Assist in all customer events as required, such as open houses, sporting events, lunches, etc.
  • Perform other duties assigned by your manager.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and resourceful.
  • Ready to bring positivity, energy, and enthusiasm into the workplace.
  • Professional approach to business and the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure, unsupervised.
  • Strong work ethic, guided by personal integrity and mutual respect.
