Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Educator to lead our childcare programs at Playdays Childcare Centre. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the overall development of children
  • Supervise and mentor staff members to ensure high-quality care
  • Lead activities and encourage creativity through various arts and physical exercises
  • Guide children in maintaining good habits and providing a safe environment
  • Prepare reports for parents and guardians on children's progress
  • Maintain positive relationships with colleagues and community service providers

Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Member of the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Early Childhood Education Certificate
  • First Aid and CPR Certification

Work Conditions:

  • High level of attention to detail required
  • Able to stand, walk, and move around frequently throughout the day
  • Bending, crouching, and kneeling may be necessary to engage with children
