Volaris Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Cybersecurity Specialist to join our Software Assurance Team. As a key member of this team, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the security posture of our business units by identifying vulnerabilities in their software before they can be exploited by malicious parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough penetration testing of web, mobile, and desktop applications developed by our business units to identify potential security risks.
  • Prepare detailed reports on identified vulnerabilities, including overall impact, reproduction steps, and recommendations for remediation.
  • Utilize a variety of testing techniques, frameworks, and tools to assess the security posture of our applications.
  • Develop custom exploits, tools, and automations as required to support the security testing process.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to our business units on the use of the Invicti web app vulnerability scanning platform.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background, with software development experience being highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or general-purpose programming language.
  • In-depth knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities, including XSS, SQL Injection, and SSRF.
  • Comfortable working in a Linux command line interface environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Based in North America, with a strong understanding of the region's cybersecurity landscape.
