Job Summary

Metro Xpress Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Truck Driver-Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our transportation department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Record Keeping: Prepare and submit accurate production and other reports as required.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 3-4 workers and manage projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Training and Development: Train or arrange for training to enhance the skills of our team members.
  • Dispatch and Route Management: Dispatch bus drivers and monitor routes to ensure efficient transportation services.
  • Operational Control: Monitor and operate signal and track switch control panel to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordination and Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule activities to meet business objectives.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Personnel Management: Recommend personnel actions to support the growth and development of our team.
  • Logistics and Procurement: Coordinate repairs and rentals, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
