Job Summary

As a Personal Support Worker with the City of Ottawa, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in our long-term care facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to support the total resident care plan, ensuring residents' optimal functioning and well-being in a supportive and therapeutic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of resident care plans
  • Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
  • Assist with mobility and transfer of residents
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements

  • Completion of a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate program
  • Experience working in a long-term care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
