GM Lead Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Lead to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Department Lead, you will be responsible for leading the General Merchandise and Fashion Department, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a high level of task completion.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product information, and resolving customer issues.
- Department Leadership
- Assist in providing direction and coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Store Management Team.
- Assess the overall presentation of the General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
- Associate Development
- Delegate, assist, and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
- Support with scheduling as needed.
- Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
- Training and Development
- Participate in the training and development of the General Merchandise and Fashion Associates, and provide feedback as needed.
- Store Safety
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
