About This Role


Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician 2 to join our team. This role is responsible for delivering portable HVAC equipment to customers, providing excellent service, and ensuring the safe use of company equipment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment, training authorized operators on safe use and operation


  • Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls


  • Direct customers to sign appropriate paperwork, keep track of serial numbers, and troubleshoot equipment issues


  • Operate company vehicles safely, follow all company safety policies, and maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment


  • Work with managers and sales engineers to implement proper and safe procedures for checking gas connections and installing flexible gas hoses


  • Be available on a rotating schedule for emergency service response calls on weekends and evenings




Requirements

  • 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience/training


  • Gas Fitter Ticket preferred


  • Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record


  • Ability to work some after-hours and weekend work during peak times, and maintain a valid driver's license and excellent driving record


  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more, work indoors/outdoors, and meet the physical demands of the role
