About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team at BGIS. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including air conditioning, heating, and related equipment.
  • Perform routine services on facility mechanical and other systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Respond to service requests and perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities at assigned facilities.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of assigned tools and equipment, arranging for repair and replacement as needed.
  • Provide observations and recommendations for facility enhancements and repairs, participating in facility-related projects as required.

Requirements

  • College diploma or certification in a related field.
  • Experience as a licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Technician, with a valid Certificate of Qualification.
  • Strong ability to adhere to and execute processes and practices related to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Ability to maintain building mechanical and other system troubleshooting and resolution skills.
  • Current knowledge of fire, life, safety, and building codes and standards.
  • Strong client-service orientation and high sense of urgency.
  • Effective communication skills for data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Mentoring skills to support lower-level technicians' development.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby, and emergency call-outs.
  • Enhanced security clearance requirements.
