Job Summary

The HVAC Technician 2 is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role requires a high level of professionalism, positive communication, and a strong understanding of HVAC equipment. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot and repair equipment, provide training to customers, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment, ensuring safe and proper operation
  • Train authorized operators on the safe use of equipment
  • Direct customers to sign paperwork and keep track of serial numbers
  • Successfully troubleshoot and understand the operation, function, and specifications of rental equipment
  • Operate company vehicles safely and follow all company safety policies
  • Clean and test returned equipment to ensure operation and appearance meet standards
  • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls
  • Install flexible gas hoses on propane and natural gas applications
  • Implement safe procedures to check gas connections
  • Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment
  • Be available for emergency service calls on weekends and evenings

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of formal HVAC experience, a gas fitter ticket, and basic math skills. They must be mechanically inclined, have a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. The ability to work some after-hours and weekend shifts during peak times is also required.

Physical Demands

This role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. The successful candidate must be able to work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.
