Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream Position in Sustainable Food Systems Pedagogy

We are seeking a highly qualified individual for a full-time teaching stream position in the area of Sustainable Food Systems Pedagogy. The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2025 or shortly thereafter.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory and capstone courses on sustainability, sustainable food systems, and environmental research
- Develop and teach large lecture classes, small seminar classes, and supervise individual student projects through independent study and research opportunity programs
- Supervise or co-supervise graduate students at both the Master's and PhD level
- Develop and implement community-engaged learning and experiential learning pedagogy
- PhD degree in Environmental Studies by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter
- Demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and a commitment to excellent pedagogical inquiry
- Experience developing and teaching courses on sustainability, sustainable food systems, and environmental research
- Experience in community-engaged learning and experiential learning pedagogy
