Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. This is a clinical position that requires a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their occupational performance goals and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Design and implement interventions to support healthy lifestyles, prevent illness and disability, and promote health.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality client care.
  • Participate in continuing professional development, research, and quality improvement initiatives to stay up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant clinical experience in occupational therapy.
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in occupational therapy from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Manitoba (COTM) with the incumbent's name entered in the practicing register or in the provisional register as an examination candidate.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements in accordance with the WRHA policy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership in the Manitoba Society of Occupational Therapists (MSOT) and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
  • Ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other disciplines.
Working Conditions

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
