Payroll Specialist

Groupe Uptimum is seeking a skilled Payroll Technician to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare statements of earnings for employees, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
- Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, and perform clerical duties such as maintaining filing systems.
- Human Resources Support: Perform human resources related duties such as personnel selection, and prepare and balance period-end reports.
- Benefits Administration: Complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
- Employee Communication: Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans, and compile statistics and reports.
- Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in a related field.
- Certifications: Canadian Payroll Association's (CPA) payroll compliance practitioner (PCP) certification.
- Skills: MS Excel, MS Word, and strong attention to detail.
