Payroll Specialist

Groupe Uptimum is seeking a skilled Payroll Technician to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Payroll Processing: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, prepare statements of earnings for employees, and reconcile issued payrolls to bank statements.
- Financial Data Management: Store, update, and retrieve financial data, perform clerical duties such as maintaining filing systems, and perform human resources related duties such as personnel selection.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and balance period-end reports, compile statistics and reports, and maintain payroll records.
- Benefits Administration: Complete and submit documentation for administration of benefits such as pension plans, leaves, share savings, employment, and medical insurance.
- Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in payroll or a related field.
- Certifications: Canadian Payroll Association's (CPA) Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification.
- Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Physical Demands: Attention to detail, work under pressure, and ability to work in a team.
