Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids' Stop Children's Centre. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Child Supervision: Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, and guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Activity Planning: Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Communication: Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings, and submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Teamwork: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications: Child development supervisor (ECE level 3), Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
