Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids' Stop Children's Centre. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to grow and develop.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. You will work closely with our team to create a safe and inclusive environment that promotes learning and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that meet the needs of children aged 0-5 years
  • Lead activities that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents or guardians
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years
  • Experience in early childhood education or a related field is an asset
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and child development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
