Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Healthcare Support Specialist. This role is responsible for providing administrative support to the day-to-day operations of the First Nations Virtual Doctor of the Day (FNv Do D) and First Nations Virtual Substance Use and Psychiatry Service (FNv SUPs) clinics.
The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling, data management, and human resources. They will also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and maintain confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Scheduling providers by region and Response Team members
- Consolidating and maximizing billings to ensure accuracy prior to submission to MSP
- Coordinating with virtual staff and on-ground resources to facilitate EMR integrations and workflows
- Providing relief in the event of absence of a Response Team member
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Medical Office Assistant Certificate Program from an accredited Community College
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a medical practice with advanced knowledge in billing, data, and administrative processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $57,888 - $72,360 - $79,596 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will also be eligible for a municipal pension plan, three weeks' vacation, and access to group health benefits.
