Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Drilling and Workover Operations Supervisor to join our team at LHR Global - Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our Drilling & Workover department, you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the operations of contract drilling or workover rigs working for us.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Oversee Operations: Ensure that all operations performed on our wells are carried out safely and efficiently.
  • Make Recommendations: Provide recommendations on alternative methods or equipment when unusual situations are encountered.
  • Coordinate Deliveries: Coordinate deliveries of materials to the well to ensure they are available when required.
  • Ensure Contractor Compliance: Ensure that the contractor meets all requirements of their contract.
  • Work with Engineers: Work with Drilling and Workover engineers to ensure that modern drilling practices are followed.
  • Approve Daily Reports: Approve the contractor's daily tour report.
  • Maintain Equipment: Ensure that the contractor's rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
  • Perform Miscellaneous Duties: Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supt.
  • Ensure Safety Standards: Ensure that our blowout prevention standards are met in all respects, including equipment configuration, testing, and crew response.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering: A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 7 years of experience working in drilling and workover operations, including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
  • ITC Qualification: Or completion of ITC: English, ERW, Math, MI with 13 years relevant experience in drilling and workover operations, including supervisory experience generally acquired by progression on a drilling or workover rig.
  • Willingness to Live in Remote Areas: Willingness to live in remote areas in mobile camps.
Benefits
  • Monthly Base Salary: A monthly base salary aligned with company employees with similar skills.
  • Monthly Overbase: A monthly overbase of 25% of your monthly base salary.
  • Benefits Supplement: A benefits supplement of 20% of your monthly base salary, increasing to 25% after 3 years of service, 30% after 6 years, and 35% after 12 years.
  • Severance Package: A severance package with a 2-year vest period, providing 2 weeks' pay for each year of service, increasing to 4 weeks' pay after 6 years of service.
  • Employment Tax: Exemption from employment tax if you choose to separate yourself from your 'home country' for income tax purposes.
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan: Eligibility for the Employee Share Purchase Plan after 12 months of service, with a maximum purchase equal to 10% of your monthly base pay.
  • Incentive Plan: An annual incentive plan based on performance, providing approximately 1.8 times your monthly base salary.
  • Travel Allowance: An annual travel allowance of approximately $8,200 per household member 11+ years old residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old.
  • Vacation and Paid Holidays: 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays.
  • Medical and Dental Plan: Complimentary in-Kingdom Johns Hopkins medical care and facilities for employees and eligible family members, with subsidized in-Kingdom dental services.
  • Educational Assistance Plan: Out-of-Kingdom assistance with 90% of expenses, up to a maximum of 5 times your monthly base salary or the company maximum, plus 3 round-trip economy air travel tickets for undergraduate college-age children.
  • Settling-in Allowance: A one-time settling-in allowance of 100% of your monthly base salary for family status or 60% for single/bachelor status.
