Join Precision Drilling Canada Limited Partnership as a Drilling Operations Technician and contribute to the success of our drilling operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining drilling mud systems and pumps, as well as writing daily basic progress reports.

Work Environment

As a Drilling Operations Technician, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in dangerous conditions. You will also be exposed to wet/damp, noisy, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments.

Work Setting

You will work as a drilling and well service contractor in remote locations, with various locations throughout the year. You will be part of a team of 5-10 people and will be required to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain drilling mud systems and pumps
  • Write daily basic progress reports
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Handle heavy loads and work in confined spaces, outdoors, and in dangerous conditions
  • Be exposed to wet/damp, noisy, hot, and cold/refrigerated environments
  • Work as part of a team of 5-10 people
  • Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements
  • Standard First Aid Certificate
  • Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate
  • Rig Worker Fall Protection
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own transportation
  • Willing to travel
  • Travel expenses not paid by employer
  • Public transportation is not available
