About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our team at The North West Company. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacy team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Perform computer functions as directed by the Pharmacist, including data entry, price checks, and report generation.
  • Fill prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist or Regulated Pharmacy Technician.
  • Assist with inventory control, maintaining stock levels of drugs and supplies.
  • Support the Pharmacist in maintaining accurate records and reports.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve patient-centered outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Assistant is considered an asset.
  • 2-3 years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a high-volume dispensary or Central Fill environment.
  • Experience with Medical Services & Equipment, report generation, and pharmacy software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills, demonstrated customer service experience, and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
