Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at City South Pizza. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.
Key Responsibilities- Food and Supply Management
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Staff Supervision and Training
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and food preparation assistants.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure a high level of service and quality control.
- Quality Control and Customer Service
- Ensure that all food and service meet our high quality control standards.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Reporting and Administration
- Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including food costs, inventory, and staff performance.
- Prepare food order summaries for the chef and other relevant staff members.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
- Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Personal Qualities
- Flexibility.
- Team player.
This is a permanent, full-time position working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
