Job Summary

The Building Operator will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our commercial building, including performing routine maintenance tasks, operating equipment, and ensuring the safety and security of our staff and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and other refuse
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Make adjustments to equipment and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility and initiative
Work Environment

The Building Operator will work in a commercial building setting, with occasional travel to rural areas. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
