Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team at the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients/clients, working collaboratively with the clinical operations manager and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients/clients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring that patients/clients receive the best possible care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients/clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in care conferences and contribute to the development of care plans.
  • Document patient/client information accurately and thoroughly.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Registration with the BC College of Nursing Professionals as a practicing LPN registrant.
  • Current basic cardiac life support certification.
  • One year recent, related experience in providing addiction services in a healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
