Pharmacy Assistant Opportunity at PHSA

The Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing essential support to pharmacists and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

About the Job

  • We are seeking a Pharmacy Assistant with experience in preparing medications, managing inventory, and performing administrative tasks.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists with medication preparation, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Bring

  • A secondary school completion with emphasis on chemistry and mathematics.
  • Completion of a recognized pharmacy assistant program at a certificate level.
  • One year of experience or equivalent as a Pharmacy Assistant.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Typing 50 words per minute.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally with co-workers and the public.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy routines and applications to the work environment for acceptable practices.
  • Ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada.
