As a Senior Accounting Specialist, you will work closely with the AR Team Lead to ensure the timely and accurate billing and collections of accounts receivable for assigned territories and clients. This will involve reviewing accounts receivable reports regularly for any problematic accounts/payers, trends, and ensuring timely follow-up.

You will also be responsible for researching any unbilled issues to optimize billing possibilities for the billing period. Additionally, you will maintain the billing files for all projects, with all the appropriate documents in accordance with standard procedures.

  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in billing and collections;
  • Experience in progress billing and construction industry an asset;
  • A thorough knowledge of project contract terms and change order documents;
  • Intermediate computer literacy including MS Office Excel and accounting software;
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see projects through to completion;
  • Bilingual as majority of billing and collection files are USA based.
