Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Application Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for coordinating engineering projects in support of production contracts and sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technical Correspondence and Representation: Serve as the primary technical correspondent and engineering representative for production contracts and sales opportunities.
  2. Bid Process Support: Support the bid process from initial proposals through production, including change requests and configuration audits.
  3. Technical Configuration Management: Identify, define, and manage technical configuration requirements and clearly communicate details to customers and internal stakeholders.
  4. Risk and Opportunity Identification: Identify technical risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  5. Bill of Material Management: Release initial Bill of Material (iBoMs) needed to build heavy-duty transit buses and coaches for a wide range of customer specifications.
  6. Project Documentation: Effectively manage and present project documentation.
  7. Task Assignment: Assign tasks to engineering designers to complete contract-specific design work.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute or lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
  9. Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train new employees.
  10. Engineering Change Order Review: Serve as a checker for engineering change orders (ECOs) prior to release.
