Job Title: Automotive Service Technician Apprentice

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Eighty8 Alpha Automotive Inc. As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions. You will also be required to adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed

Requirements:

  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
  • Automotive Service Technician (Fuel and Electrical Systems) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Transmission) Trade Certification
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • HVAC Certificate
