Healthcare Support Specialist

As a valued member of our team at Interior Health, you will be working as part of a dynamic group of healthcare professionals who support clients' independence and ability to remain in their homes. This role involves providing home support services to clients by assisting with personal care and daily living tasks while promoting maximum independence.
Typical Duties Include:
• Conducting activities of daily personal care such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene
• Maintaining a safe and healthy environment within clients' homes through household duties
• Preparing meals in accordance with designated plans
• Assisting with mobility and transfers
• Observing and reporting changes in client behavior and condition
• Performing delegated tasks according to training and procedures
This is a casual opportunity with varying hours from 0 to 37.5 per week. We are particularly seeking candidates with good availability for short call work and open to working night shifts as well as days and evenings. Currently, we have several casual opportunities available.
Shifts of work will be scheduled between days and evenings; rotating from 07:00 to 23:00 hours.

Kaslo is located in the heart of the West Kootenays on beautiful Kootenay Lake. The Victorian Health Centre is within walking distance of downtown, the school, the beach, and hiking trails. The Kaslo area is an outdoor enthusiast's paradise with year-round activities.
Compensation:
We offer an estimated annual salary of $43,000 - $62,000 based on experience and qualifications.
