Medical Office Assistant Opportunity

Interior Health Authority is seeking a skilled Medical Office Assistant to join their team in Kaslo, B.C. This is a casual opportunity with rotating days and varying hours.

About the Role

The Medical Office Assistant will work in collaboration with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses, to provide patient care. Key responsibilities include:

  • Registering patients and scheduling appointments
  • Answering telephones and handling general correspondence
  • Data entry and word processing
  • Compiling and entering statistical information
  • Managing medical supplies and equipment
  • Escorting patients to examination rooms and ensuring proper setup
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Typing Test 40 wpm or greater
  • A Medical Office Assistant Certificate
  • A current valid BC Driver's License
  • Your Resume
  • A Cover Letter stating your availability to start
