Job Title: Mechanical Designer / EIT

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Designer / EIT to join our team at the MCW Group of Companies in Winnipeg, MB.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of assigned project work during all phases, from inception through planning, design and construction, in accordance with the project scope, schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with the preparation of drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  2. Coordinate with other consulting disciplines to ensure drawing integrity and completeness.
  3. Work with project team and Project Manager to ensure on-time project completion.
  4. Escalate resource issues to the appropriate Project Manager.
  5. Review architectural and structural drawings.
  6. Work with contractors and respond to technical inquiries.
  7. Provide technical and administrative support through all phases of the project.
  8. Help establish and promote client relationships.
  9. Strive to ensure quality and timely delivery of finished products to clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
  1. Completion of post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  2. Academic training related to mechanical building systems is preferred.
  3. Experience in developing construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  4. Experience in HVAC and Plumbing Systems.
  5. Familiar with bid and tendering process.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint.
  7. Experience working with customers and client base.
  8. Experience working in a team-based environment.
  9. Experience in site investigations and construction review is considered an asset.
